Everywhere I look in business today I see mediocre. Service is weak. Products are average. Political correctness has watered down our opinions so much they are unrecognizable as a unique point of view. Consequently we live in a very predictable and vanilla world. Sure you could argue that predictable is safe and comfortable. That could also be the definition of boring. Where is the mystery in predictable results? Since when does safe and comfortable get your blood flowing?
The sad truth is nothing ever changes in the land of predictable. Every action, every manipulation has a predictably “known” outcome. None of this is a problem if where you are right now is where you want to stay. For those of you who are in this place, please remain calm and enjoy your reasonable life. Everyone else follow me!!!!!

I say it is time to drop reasonableness from your program. An adventure is any journey where you leave predictable behind. It is time for you and me to become unreasonable. And while we are at we may as well be exceptionally unpredictably unreasonable. This is the secret to being the author of your life instead of a third party. To have things turn out the way you choose versus the way reasonable people say it should.
No miracle has ever been born of a reasonable thought. Civil rights for blacks in America was not a reasonable undertaking in the 60’s. Thank you MLK and Rosa Parks for being so daring. Delivering a package overnight was extremely unreasonable thinking. Thank you to the courageous people at FEDEX who went where others before did not. Do you think they faced adversity? Do you think they were ever uncomfortable? Consider that the most widely used and appreciated tools in your every day life were born in unreasonable and survived uncomfortable.
Great results are born from a single unreasonable thought. You may ask yourself “Can I be the Top producer in my field?” And the Intellectual you says, “of course”. But the Reasonable you says, “Lets not get crazy here”. Now if you would crank up the volume on your unreasonable voice, it would seize the opportunity to be heard. And the rest of the world just might stop and listen. Your voice will demand results, unpredictable, unreasonable, and maybe even a little uncomfortable.
